Project Details
A Lakeshore Road boutique had an aging storefront door with a chipped stile, worn pivots and a mismatched pull from an old repair. The owner wanted a door that looked right on a premium street and resisted break-ins.
Scope
- Measure the existing frame and confirm it was sound for reuse
- Supply a full-lite aluminum door with laminated glass
- Match pulls, pivots and closer finish to the storefront
- Install before opening and adjust the closer for lake wind
Outcome
The swap was done early in the morning and the store opened on time. With the frame reused and every visible part finish-matched, nothing about the entrance looks patched.
Why it worked
Reusing the frame kept cost and downtime low. Matching finishes mattered as much as the hardware itself on a street where appearance drives foot traffic.
