## Project Details

A property manager at a multi-tenant light industrial building on Harry Walker Parkway was tired of re-keying every time a tenant lost a key. They wanted FOB access on the two front entrances and the rear staff door.

### Scope

- Install HES electric strikes on the two hollow metal doors
- Install a magnetic lock on the aluminum front entrance with request-to-exit sensor, manual release and fire alarm tie-in
- Install FOB readers and a 24VDC power supply with battery backup
- Test all locking and release functions with the security vendor

### Outcome

All three doors were installed in a day. The security vendor programmed the FOBs the same afternoon and tenant FOBs were handed out that Friday. Lost credentials can now be removed without re-keying.

### Why it worked

Choosing strikes where possible and adding the full set of release devices on the mag-locked entrance kept the building compliant with the Ontario Fire Code from day one.
